Game Guide > Synergy Guide

Synergy potions are enchantments that allow an active hench to benefit from the effects of a weapon or piece of armour being used by a player. For example a Synergy potion applied to a player's sword with the effect 'Attack Ability + (50~100)' would increase the Attack Ability of an active hench by 50~100 as well. Synergy allows players to greatly increase the strength of their henches without the need to level. This will be vital in progressing through the toughest areas of the game.

Synergy Items

There are 3 types of Synergy items; Synergy Potions, Synergy Removers and Synergy Upgrade Potions. Each will be discussed below.

Synergy Potions

Synergy Potions are used to enchant a weapon or piece of armour in order to allow an active hench to benefit from the effect of that item. There are 8 types of Synergy potions, one for each type of monster in MixMaster:

Monster Type Synergy Potion Name Image
Animal Animal Synergy Potion Animal Synergy Potion
Bird Bird Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Devil Devil Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Dragon Dragon Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Insect Insect Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Metal Metal Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Mystery Mystery Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion
Plant Plant Synergy Potion Synergy Upgrade Potion

In order to remove a Synergy enchantment from an item, a Synergy Remover of the same type as the enchantment needs to be used on the item. For example, if a Bird Synergy Potion was used to enchant a weapon so that a Thunderbird (Bird type) hench could receive this weapon’s effect, then a Bird Synergy Remover needs to be used on the weapon to remove this enchantment.

Synergy Potions

When a Synergy Potion is used on an item for the first time, by default the effects of that item will only apply to a hench in the level range 1-10. In order to increase this level range, and allow the Synergy enchantment to apply to higher level henches, Synergy Upgrade potions need to be used on the enchanted item. The following table illustrates the number of Synergy Upgrade potions required according to the level of a hench:

In order to make a Synergy enchantment applicable to a level 38 Monoeye (Metal type) hench for example, first a Metal Synergy Potion needs to be used to enchant an item. Then 3 Synergy Upgrade Potions need to be used on this item to increase the level range of the Metal Synergy Enchantment from 1-10 to 31-39.

It should be noted that an ongoing Synergy factory goblin strike means there have been massive supply constrains of Synergy Upgrade Potions. This has resulted in black market production of the Upgrade Potions which are of a lower quality and in fact sometimes have the opposite of their intended effect, decreasing the level range of a Synergy enchantment! Use the upgrade potions at your own discretion!

Synergy Potions

Double click on the Synergy potion you wish to use to enchant an item. The cursor will turn pink.
Click on the item you wish to enchant with Synergy. The item must be in your inventory, not equipped, or the enchant will not work.
Equip the item you have enchanted with Synergy. Any henches active and in the appropriate level range (1-10 by default) should now benefit from the effects of the enchanted item. Henches under the effect of a Synergy enchantment have pulsating rings around their portrait at the top of the screen.

NOTE:

If the Hench's level is higher than the level range of the Synergy enchantment then Synergy Upgrade Potion(s) need to be used (see below).
If an item with a previous Synergy enchantment is enchanted again, the new enchantment will have a default level range equal to the existing enchantment. (For example, if an item has 'Dragon Synergy Enchantment' level 40-48 and is enchanted again with Plant Synergy Potion, then the 'Plant Synergy Enchantment' will have the level range 40-48, not 1-10.
Items can be enchanted a maximum of 3 times with Synergy potions (must be different types).

Synergy Potions

Double click on a Synergy Upgrade Potion. The cursor will turn pink.
Click on an item with a pre-existing Synergy enchantment in order to increase its level range. If successful, all Synergy enchantments on that item should now be of a higher level range. If unsuccessful, all Synergy enchantments will drop down a level range.

NOTE:

Upgrade potions can be used on items that are equipped or in your inventory.

Synergy Potions

Double click on a Synergy Remover corresponding to the type of Synergy enchantment you wish to remove from an item. The cursor will turn pink.
Click on an item with the Synergy enchantment you wish to remove. The item must be in your inventory. The Synergy enchantment of the same type as the Remover should now be deleted from this item.
